The property is situated in the friendly village of Higher Downgate, part of the parish of Stoke Climsland with its strong royal connections, having the Duchy College within its bounds. Quietly nestling in a village lane we are just below one of Cornwall's famous landmarks, Kit Hill, from where visitors can take in the superb, far-reaching views of the Cornish vista including Plymouth Sound and across to Dartmoor, truly spectacular scenery whatever the time of year. The surrounding area, including Kit Hill, will provide ample scope for the energetic, both walkers and cyclists will not be at a loss for places to explore. For the less energetic a leisurely stroll along village lanes will prove quite therapeutic. |

Places of Interest Any visitors to our lovely county will be spoilt for choice for things to do. As well as the superb beaches, interests can be many, varying from visiting historic houses to famous gardens, to golf, theme parks and of course the moors. We are well-situated for visits to the ancient town of Launceston, the Stannary town of Tavistock with its pannier markets and the City of Plymouth providing shopping, a stroll around the Barbican and of course the famous Hoe.
