quite at number 221b. Baker Street tube station is just around the corner.
there is shop on the ground floor which sells a very wide range of souvenirs of
SH and upstairs there is an exhibition of props from the television series
starring Jeremy Brett. there is a charge for visiting the exhibition but it is
a guided tour - the guide being an Inverness-caped SH lookalike.

THE KENSINGTON
ROOF GARDENS are on the top of what was the Derry & Toms department
store. The entrance is in Derry Street which is a few yards from Kensington
High Street tube station. The gardens are not signposted and there is no
information about them on display but entrance is free and there are usually
few visitors. They are sometimes used for functions so it is best to phone
before visiting. |

| THE THEATRE
ROYAL, DRURY LANE, is close to Covent Garden and the tube station of the
same name. Dramatised tours conducted by two actors who play various roles
including Nell Gwynn and David Garrick provide a very entertaining tour of the
building which includes a visit to the royal boxes and the complex mechanisms
under the stage. The tour lasts about an hour. |

THE MILLENNIUM BRIDGE is hardly a
London secret but is new and does not wobble at all. It is dramatic in itself
but also gives dramatic views of the Tate Modern gallery and St Paul's
cathederal. |

|
| THE LONDON EYE is but a short riverside
walk from Tate Modern and while the queues are off-putting the wheel itself is
still worth seeing as is the nearby Salvador Dali exhibition. |
